Momentum Index Top 20 List

Here are the hottest 20 gaming companies ranked by Momentum Index along with out take on each. The remaining 80 follow.

Rank Company Momentum Index Total Reported Fundraising Our Take
1 100.0 $519,000,000 OUR FAVORITE
With yet another hit on its hands, Zynga has convinced us that it knows how to acquire customers better than anyone else does. In a market where producing games is cheap and barriers to entry are low, customer acquisitions and LTV are the competitive advantages that matter. We wonder how many hits it will take before our friends in the traditional games business admit that maybe Zynga is here to stay.
2 95.0 Valve should release a strategy game called “How much money will it take for the founders to sell this business?”
3 88.9 $22,500,000 Who doesn’t love Plants Versus Zombies? Rumours are that EA is buying PopCap for $1B.

Hey Mr. Boss.  Treyarch has an incomplete crunchbase and Infinityward has no crunchbase record, so they don’t get considered since they are our base datasource.
